Satoru Iino

Mr. Iino has served as a Director of Perlegen since March 2006. He is an Executive Director and board member of CSK Venture Capital in Japan, where he oversees all life science investments. Prior to joining CSK Venture Capital, Mr. Iino was with Hitachi Ltd. and Hitachi America Co. Ltd., where he developed a strong background in a broad range of information technology sectors. These included computers, semiconductors and communications, as well as embedded devices, in terms of technology licensing, corporate alliances and investments in venture companies, mainly in the United States. In 2000, Mr. Iino successfully raised capital from the Hitachi group to establish the Hitachi-CSK Investment fund. In 2003, as a board member, he led the initial public offering of Oncotherapy Sciences (Tokyo Stock Exchange ticker 4564), which delivered investor returns in excess of 200 times. Mr. Iino now actively participates on the boards of several portfolio companies, including Hubit Genomix, Carna Biosciences, Galpharma, GBS Institute, Nano Geometry Research, iMatrix and Crystal Genomics (South Korean KOSDAQ ticker 083790). He holds a B.A. from Tokyo University.
